Japan-based JFE Steel Company announced on April 6 that it will raise the price for chrome series stainless steel sheet in Japan from April 2021. With the increase of JPY15,000/t (USD137/t) for the basic price and the price adjustment for all steel products released in March (equivalent to sales in April), the total rise of price reached JPY25,000/t (USD229/t). This was the first adjustment for basic price since March 2018.
