Mexico launches first anti-dumping sunset review on longitudinal seam and spiral seam carbon steel pipe from U.S., Spain and India

On 5 April, 2021, Ministry of Economy of Mexico announced, based on the application filed by a Mexico enterprise on 4 March, 2021, the launch of the first anti-dumping sunset review on longitudinal seam and spiral seam carbon steel pipe with an outside diameter of over 16 inches (406.4mm) originating in the United States, Spain and India, involving products under TIGIE No.7305.11.02, No.7305.12.02 and No.7305.19.99, with the dumping investigation period from 1 January, 2020 to 31 December, 2020 and the injury investigation period from 1 January, 2016 to 31 December, 2020. The existing anti-dumping measures remain in effect during the investigation period.

On 20 April, 2016, Mexico gave an anti-dumping final positive ruling on longitudinal seam and spiral seam carbon steel pipe under tax numbers 7305.11.01, 7305.11.99, 7305.12.01, 7305.12.99, 7305.19.01 and 7305.19.99 originating in the United States, Spain and India and formally imposed an anti-dumping tax of USD575.01/metric ton, USD62.22/metric ton and USD81.61/metric ton on the abovementioned products from the United States (excluding longitudinal seam straight carbon steel pipe), Spain and India respectively.
