Recently, Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) released a notice to deploy law enforcement tasks in 2021. According to the notice, local governments are required to identify natural resources violations, such as illegal occupation of arable land, destruction of arable land, illegal mining along the Yangtze River and Yellow River as well as illegal mining of rare earths and other strategic minerals, take measures as soon as possible and investigate strictly. The ministry will check law enforcement results, assess regional administration order of natural resources, especially illegal occupation of arable land, promote the implementation of the strictest arable land protection system, guarantee national food safety and support ecological civilization construction.
