According to data from China Iron & Steel Association (CISA), in late February 2021, the social stocks of five major types of steel in 20 cities were 16.95 million tons, an increase of 2.16 million tons or 14.6% from the previous month. The recent inventory recovery has been rapid, an increase of 7.22 million tons or 74.2% from the end of January; an increase of 9.65 million tons or 132.2% from the beginning of this year; a decrease of 2.1 million tons or 11.0% from the same period last year.
