Guixi Grand Sanyuan decreases bismuth ingot production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 1 Feb 21 - One of major Chinese bismuth ingot 99.99%min production, Guixi Grand Sanyuan Industry Group Co., Ltd. expects to decrease bismuth ingot 99.99%min production to around 150t in January due to the equipment overhaul in the middle of January, down by about 50t from December 2020, a source from the company disclosed to Asian Metal.

The source said, "In view of around 10 days of the equipment overhaul in the middle of January, we expect to produce only about 150t of bismuth ingot this month. We also expect product only about 80t in February considering that we would have a Spring Festival." They have no offers at present as they hold no stocks.

The producer, based on a production capacity of 4,000tpy of bismuth ingot 99.99%min, produced about 200t in December 2020 and around 1,900t totally in 2020. They hold no stocks now, the same as the end of December.

Currently, the mainstream prices of Chinese bismuth ingot 99.99%min keep firm at RMB39,500-40,500/t (USD2.78-2.85/lb) EXW D/P, up by RMB500/t (USD0.04/lb) from the end of last week. The producer thinks the prices would continue going up as the supply keeps tight before the holiday.
