Jinchuan Yelonggou Spodumene mine goes into trial production

Government of Jinchuan, Sichuan stated that the Yelonggou spodumene project of Jinchuan Aoyinuo Mining Co., Ltd. is under equipment commissioning and trial production now, after infrastructure construction and equipment installing in the previous time.

The Yelonggou mine is a multi-metal property with measured mineral resources of 6.54 million tons in total. In particular, its lithium oxide metallic tonnage amounts to 84,456t with an average grade of 1.29%, reaching the size of a midsize level mine.

With a total investment of RMB640 million (USD93.59 million), the project has a mining capacity of 405,000tpa of spodumene ore (189,000tpa for open-pit mining and 216,000tpa for underground mining) and a beneficiation capacity of 405,000tpa. By June 2020, a total of RMB511 million (USD74.72 million) has been invested into the project. It commenced trial production on April 1 and is expected to process 100,000t of raw ores and reach an annual production value of RMB50 million (USD7.31 million).
