Germany's crude steel output rose by 10.7% YOY in December 2020, marking the third consecutive month of growth, German steel federation WV Stahl said last Friday. In December of 2020, German's crude steel production totaled 3.14 million tonnes, up from 2.84 million tonnes a year ago.

Steel output from German basic oxygen furnaces (BOFs), which is mainly used in the production of flat steel products, increased by 10.3% YOY to 2.39 million tonnes in December, according to WV Stahl.
