The latest data from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI) of India shows that in November 2020, India's coal imports totaled 21.18 million tons, a decrease of 3% from 21.83 million tons in the same period of the previous year and a decrease of 3.66% from 21.99 million tons in October 2020. The figure was the first decline after four consecutive months of growth.

According to data from the MCI of India, in November 2020, India's thermal coal imports were 16.26 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 7.82% and a month-on-month decrease of 3.85%.

In November, India's coking coal imports amounted to 4.73 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 12.97% but a month-on-month decrease of 5.35%.

In November, India's anthracite imports were 198,300 tons, up by 1.3 times MOM, compared with only 15,900 tons in the same period last year.
