The Administrative Committee of Hunchun Border Economic Cooperation Zone recently signed a contract with Jilin Guoyuanke Industrial and Trade Co., Ltd. for Hunchun 100,000tpy oxygen-free copper rod and 50,000tpy copper rod drawing project.

Jilin Guoyuanke Industrial and Trade, a Hunchun-registered subsidiary of Dalian Free Trade Zone Taichang International Trade Co., Ltd., invested RMB430 million (USD66.39 million) in the project which covers an area of 58,100 square meters with total floor area of 41,300 square meters. The project mainly consists of oxygen-free copper rod factory, copper rod drawing workshop, etc. The phase one of the project will mainly produce oxygen-free copper rod with an annual production capacity of 100,000t; the phase two will mainly produce electric wire, a deep-processed product of copper rod, with an annual production capacity of 25,000t; the phase three will produce 25,000tpy of electric cable. When in full production, the project is expected to realize annual sales revenue of RMB735 million (USD113 million).
