On January 20, Yunnan Aluminum Haixin Plant officially launched the carbon residue resource utilization project with an annual processing capacity of 7,000t.

Using roasting method to treat carbon residue technology, the project can meet the annual demand of 700,000t of primary aluminum for the treatment of carbon residue after being put into commercial operation, recycle nearly 4,000t of electrolytes annually, reduce the amount of fluoride salt used in the production of aluminum electrolysis, and produce good social and economic benefits.
