Ningxia Binhe increases production of black silicon carbide
BEIJING (Asian Metal) 22 Jan 21 - Located in Ningxia, Pingluo Binhe Silicon Carbide Products Co., the largest black silicon carbide producer in China, raised production by around 50% compared to around 10,000t last month, which would increase to around 15,000t in January, a source from the company reported to Asian Metal.
"Given that the environment protection control dismissed since early this month, we increased production this month to around 15,000t in January, while we produced around 10,000t in December," the source disclosed, adding that they already finished all the furnace updating and plan to increase the output to around 200,000t this year. They predict that the prices of Chinese black silicon carbide would remain flat in the coming week.
The company, with an annual production capacity of 180,000t of black silicon carbide, plans to produce around 15,000t in January, while they produced around 10,000t last month. They plan to produce around 200,000t in 2021, compared to around 135,000t in 2020. They hold around 5,000t of stocks at the moment, unchanged from one month ago.
The current mainstream prices of Chinese black silicon carbide 98%min segment sand stay at RMB6,000-6,200/t (USD929-960/t) Inc-VAT EXW D/A 180 days, in line with late last week.
