Haoxin Industry increases white fused alumina production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 8 Jan 21 - The biggest producer of white fused alumina in China, Shandong Chiping Haoxin Industry Co., resumed 13 furnaces on January 7 and predicts an output of around 10,000t in January, compared to about 5,500t in December, a source from the company reported to Asian Metal.

"Due to a short supply of power, we only ran 7 furnaces in the past week. Since today we resumed other 13 furnaces and expect to produce around 10,000t this month, while last month we only produced around 5,500t due to the air pollution control," the source revealed this Thursday, adding that they still hold around 2,000t of orders pending for delivering with no stocks. Therefore, they intend to hold the price firm and test the market, expecting the prices of white fused alumina would remain flat in the following week.
