JA Solar Technology announced on December 30 that its wholly-owned subsidiary JA Solar signed Baotou 20GW crystal pulling and 20GW wafer project investment framework agreement with people's governments of Baotou City and Qingshan District on December 30, 2020, and reached a cooperation intention on its construction of 20GW crystal pulling and 20GW wafer project with an investment of RMB5.8 billion (USD888 million) in Baotou Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park. The investment will help JA Solar Technology further expand its large-size silicon wafer production capacity.
