Recycled Iron and Steel Raw Material national standard got approved on November 29, which is expected to be released at the end of 2020.

It is introduced by the compilation team for national standard of Recycled Iron and Steel Raw Material that recycled iron and steel raw material is a burden product from classified, recycled and processed iron and steel scrap and could be put into furnaces directly as iron resource. Compared with iron ores, recycled iron and steel raw material could reduce the emission of pollutants in steel-making substantially. Therefore, recycled iron and steel raw material is not only a renewable resource but also the only iron resource that could replace iron ores. It is a significant raw material for the green development of iron and steel industry.
