On the morning of November 26, HBIS Group Hansteel started the construction of old plant relocation and integration project in Shexian county, which is expected to be put into operation in June 2022.

It is said that the old plant relocation and integration project of HBIS Group Hansteel is located in Shexian Longxi Industrial Cluster with the total investment of RMB22.76 billion (USD3.46 billion). This project will build a new-generation iron and steel production base and will install modern equipment in a large scale after the completion of construction, work in coordination with Hanbao Company and complement each other's advantages. The project mainly consists of a blast furnace of 3,200 cubic meters, a blast furnace of 3,700 cubic meters, two converters of 100t, one converter of 250t and other facilities. When the construction is completed, it will hold the annual production capacity of 5.3 million tons of iron, 4.0 million tons of steel and 3.4 million tons of steel products.
