MOFCOM and GAC adjust prohibited commodities list in processing trade

The Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) and the General Administration of Customs (GAC) jointly announced on November 5 that in order to implement decisions made by the State Council and shore up the stable development of processing trade, MOFCOM and GAC adjusted the prohibited commodities list in processing trade. The following are the details.

1. This adjustment will eliminate 199 10-digit HS codes of products that are in compliance with national industry policies and high-tech or not of high energy consumption or pollution from the prohibited commodities list in processing trade based on No.90 Announcement of MOFCOM and GAC in 2014.

2. The adjusted prohibited commodities list in processing trade will be carried out based on No.90 Announcement of MOFCOM and GAC in 2014.

3. This announcement will come into effect from December 1, 2020.

According to the announcement, 199 eliminated 10-digit HS codes consisted of magnesite, nickel, molybdenum, titanium, steel, aluminum, indium, niobium and germanium and other related products.
