Mineral resources development and utilization plan of Shaanxi Songjiagou molybdenum mine approved

"Mineral resources development and utilization plan of Songjiagou Molybdenum mine in Luonan County of Shaanxi Province" recently passed the review of experts in Oil and Gas Resources Strategy Research Center of Ministry of Natural Resources. This mine is the second largest molybdenum mine in Shaanxi Province, located in the core of Huanglongpu molybdenum mine field in Luoan County. As a super large molybdenum deposit, the mine will actively provide local people opportunities to get rid of poverty after the project achieves the target outpt.

Songjiagou Molybdenum mine has recorded 302 million tons of molybdenum mineral resources and 305,090.72t of metal, with a molybdenum grade of 0.101%. Among them, the measured mineral resources (331) were 66.05 million tons, and the metal content was 63,094.91t, with a grade of 0.096%. The indicated mineral resources (332) were 142 million tons, and the metal content was 144,842.59 tons, with a molybdenum grade of 0.102%; the inferred resources (333) were 94.70 million tons and the metal content was 97,153.22t, with a molybdenum grade of 0.103%.

In addition, there are 302 million tons of associated lead ore and 789,500t of metal with a lead grade of 0.261%. The associated sulfur ore content is 302 million tons, and the element content is 6.01 million tons, with a sulfur grade of 2.76%. The amount of associated silver ore is 302 million tons, and the amount of metal is 626.17t, with a silver grade of 2.07%.

The results show that the reestimation of resources and reserves in the plan has a small error compared with the survey report, which can be used as a basis for design. The plan involves 274 million tons of molybdenum mineral resources and 283,271t of metal, with a molybdenum grade of 0.104%. The mine's annual production capacity is recommended to be 6.6 million tons and the service life is 67 years according to the mining resources and reserves, degree of exploration, ore body occurrence conditions, mining technology, owner's investment and mining area planning.
