Australia's MACA has secured a A$185m ($131m) mining and crushing contract for the resource exploration company Fenix Resources' Iron Ridge iron ore project in Western Australia (WA).

The Iron Ridge project is an open-pit iron ore project located in the Murchison region of WA. It is approximately 600km north-northeast of Perth and approximately 67km north-east of Cue.

Early stage works at the iron ore project started last month. Currently, MACA is mobilizing heavy earthmoving equipment to Iron Ridge site.

As part of the six-year contract, MACA will be responsible for drilling and blasting, mining, as well as crushing and screening works at the Iron Ridge project.
