Tianzhu New Zhehua put black silicon carbide project into production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 20 Oct 20 - Based in Gansu, Tianzhu New ZheHua Silicon Carbide Co. LTD. started production of a 20,000tpy black silicon carbide project on October 8th and expects an output of around 600t in October, a source from the company reported to Asian Metal.

"We fired a furnace of 20,000kVA on 8th this month and would get the first 600t of products on 23rd this month. Next month we would produce in a full capacity with an output of around 1,800t," the source revealed, adding that they also prepare a processing line with annual process capacity of around 20,000t and would put into production in late November. The source also disclosed that the black silicon carbide market saw increasing demand in the past two weeks and predicts the prices of black silicon carbide would remain firm in the coming week.

The company owns one electric arc furnaces of 20,000kVA with an annual production capacity of 20,000t of black silicon carbide. They expect to produce around 4,000t of the material in 2020. They expect to produce around 600t in October and 1,800t in November. They hold no stocks.

Currently, the mainstream prices of Chinese black silicon carbide 90%min 0-10mm stand at RMB4,200-4,400/t (USD627-657/t) Inc-VAT EXW D/A 180 days, up by RMB100/t (USD15/t) from last week.
