The International Nickel Industry Research Group (INSG) said on Thursday that global nickel demand in 2021 is expected to increase from 2.32 million tons in 2020 to 2.52 million tons. INSG also said that global nickel production is expected to rise from 2.44 million tons to 2.59 million tons; the hidden market is expected to have a surplus of 117,000 tons in 2020, and a surplus of 68,000 tons in 2021.
