BEIJING (Asian Metal) 18 Sep 20 - LABH Enterprise, a bauxite producer in India, is scheduled to resume bauxite production in late October, with the regular monthly production volume at around 100,000t, a source from the company reported to Asian Metal.

"We plan to restart bauxite production from late October after the monsoon, and the normal production volume keeps at around 100,000tpm" said the source, who now keeps around 100,000t in stock.

Based on an annual production capacity of 2 million tons, they had been out of production after last February because of the sluggish market and produced around 200,000t in 2019. The production volume for 2020 might reach 200,000t.

Focusing on production of bauxite Al2O3 46%min SiO2 6%max, they once exported around 500,000t to China in 2018. From early last year, Chinese buyers turned to Guinea and Indonesia. However, as Chinese demand for imported bauxite continues to grow, Indian bauxite might return Chinese market again.
