On 14 September, Vital Thin Film Materials announced that it reached final agreement on the acquisition of ceramic target business of Samsung Corning Precision Glass Co. Ltd. (SCG).

SCG is a joint venture between Samsung Display and Corning. Headquartered in Gumi, South Korea, SCG's ceramic target business unit is a leading ITO, IZO and IGZO supplier in LCD and OLED industry and is committed to the development and production of high performance ceramic materials for emerging technologies.
