Huayu Mining's Talco Gold project to be completed for production early next year

On August 31, Huayu Mining released materials for the second interim shareholders' meeting in 2020, considering a proposal to provide a loan of no more than 49 million yuan (7.16 million US dollars) for the development and construction of an ore concentrate plant and necessary infrastructure at the Kangqiaoqi mining area under the company's subsidiary Talco Gold.

A source from the securities department of the company said, "The Talco Gold project is lagging behind impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. We discussed at the end of June that the project will be finished for production by the end of the year, but considering the situation in Tajikistan has not eased, so it might be completed at the beginning of next year."

The company is expected to become a global supplier of antimony after the normal production of Talco Gold, when the company will control nearly 15% of the world's antimony metal supply and have an important impact on pricing and decision-making in the global antimony industry. The project will process 1.5 million tons of ore and produce 16,000 tons of antimony concentrate and 2.2 tons of gold ingot annually.
