South Africa to further ease lockdown

President Ramaphosa announced on the evening of August 15 in a television address that South Africa will further ease lockdown and move the country from "level three" of its five-level lockdown system to "level two".

Ramaphosa said that there are various indications that the peak days of the outbreak of COVID-19 was over in South Africa. Thus, the government decided to further ease lockdown and make the lockdown level go down to "level two". Ramaphosa added that it means almost all economic activities in the country could return to normal level.
