- On the morning of 6th Dec, Mr. Zhaohao, the marketing director of Asian Metal and Mr. Jerry Huang, the calcium silicon analyst of Asian Metal visited Ketong New material Co., Ltd., and Mr. Wang Jianbing, the export manager and Mr. Wang Jianjun, the domestic sales manager extended their warm welcome to Asian Metal. Mr. Zhaohao and Jerry Huang viewed the well organized plants. Mr. Zhang Zhongke, the Chairman of Ketong rented 4 furnaces of 1,000kva in 2004 and purchased the plant in 2007, and now Ketong has three furnaces of 33,000kva with two of them running in early December. (They resumed one furnace of 30,000kva on 18th Dec) The current output is 3,600tpm, and export volume is around 1,500tpm. Jerry Huang shared some details about the overseas calcium silicon statisctics about producers and the end users. Mr. Wang Jianbing indicated that the current export price is lower than production cost due to lower prices from Brazilian producers and shrinking demand, and he believes the price would keep firm at the beginning of next year. Mr. Wang gave high credits on Asian Metal's comprehensive and impartial prices information.

- Next, Asian Metal visited Inner Mongolia Erdos Electric power& Metallurgical Group, and Mr. Zhao Xuedong, the Deputy General Manager of marketing and sales department, Mr. Li Chunjiang, the Chief Product Officer, Mr. Wang Pengcheng, the Sales manager of Asian Market and Mr. Xu Min, the regional sales manager showed their warm greetings to Asian Metal. Accompanied by Mr. Wang Pengcheng, Asian Metal visited Erdos' industry zone and ferrosilicon plants. The current output of ferrosilicon for Erdos in Inner Mongolia stabilizes at around 100,000tpm, and the output of ferrosilicon 75%min accounts for about 30%. They mainly supply ferrosilicon 75%min to magnesium plants in Shanxi and Shaanxi, and most of their main clients of magnesium plants are signing long-term contracts based on Asian Metal's benchmark prices. The current output of ferrosilicon for Junzheng stabilizes at around 28,000tpm, and the output of ferrosilicon 75%min is about 9,000tpm. They mainly supply ferrosilicon 75%min to magnesium plants in Shanxi and Shaanxi, and most of their main clients of magnesium plants are signing long-term contracts upon Asian Metal's benchmark prices for many years.
