Asian Metal visits Joyson Safety System

On November 18, 2019, Asian Metal Senior Magnesium Analyst and Senior Product Manager Ms. Daphne Zhang was invited to visit Joyson Safety System (Shanghai). During the visit, she held in-depth communications with the company's procurement team, including Salvatore Mariano for Europe market, Nobu Kashiwa for U.S. market, and Gao Wenbin and Shen Jiadong for Chinese market. Both sides exchanged information and views on topics including magnesium alloy suppliers in China, factors affecting magnesium alloy prices including costs and external factors, as well as status quo and price trend in H1 2020 of the Chinese magnesium alloy market. At present, Joyson Safety System is preparing the H1 2020 magnesium alloy procurement plan and will make purchases directly from major magnesium alloy producers in China. It will split the total purchase volume, about 4,600t, among a number of major producers via a pricing competition process.
